About the Role

We are looking for interns to work on Observability and Developer Tooling across the whole Database Stack at RisingWave. Some project examples include:

• Building more capabilities for granular CPU, Memory, I/O and Data skew profiling.
• Tools for bottleneck analysis in stream graphs.
• Tools for distributed tracing.
• Logging and Metrics tuning.
• Tooling for SQL Debugging

We are looking for candidates who have a solid technical foundation and are strongly motivated by their impact on customers and developers.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers, to ensure we have robust coverage for Observability, and provide a better operational experience for our users and support engineers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years using streaming technologies or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with high-availability, high-performance data systems.
• Experience using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience designing and building developer tools.
• Strong technical skills to deep dive and uncover fresh Observability Requirements.
